Godox has introduced two new lighting options aimed at film and video creators: the RS100Bi and RS100R lights. Announced on May 7, 2026 by No Film School, the release highlights the company’s focus on delivering tools that combine performance with practical flexibility.

According to the source, both models are designed to provide high‑intensity output while incorporating built‑in battery power. The description notes that the lights deliver “serious brightness,” suggesting a strong light output suitable for a range of shooting environments. The emphasis on integrated power points to a design that reduces the need for external power sources or bulky battery packs.

The summary explains that these lights are intended for creators who want flexibility without sacrificing performance. By combining battery operation with high‑intensity output, Godox aims to remove a common trade‑off where portable lights often fall short in brightness or where powerful lights require cumbersome power setups. This approach could appeal to shooters who move frequently between locations or work in spaces with limited access to mains electricity.

Targeted at film and video projects, the RS100Bi and RS100R lights could serve a variety of scenarios, from indie narrative shoots to documentary work and commercial productions where quick setup and reliable illumination are valued. The lack of external power cables may also simplify rigging and reduce tripod clutter, potentially speeding up workflow on set.

While the source does not detail specific technical specifications, pricing, or availability dates, it positions the new lights as part of Godox’s ongoing effort to meet the evolving needs of content creators who demand both mobility and professional‑grade lighting quality. The announcement invites interested creators to watch for further details from Godox and to consider how these battery‑powered, high‑intensity fixtures might fit into their lighting kits.
