Discord and Riot Games are rolling out a new integration designed to streamline how players connect across platforms. Starting soon, users will be able to link their Discord and Riot accounts to automatically sync their friends lists. This means friends added in one platform will appear in the other, reducing the need to manage separate networks.

The update also enables players to display their in-game activity from League of Legends or VALORANT directly as their Discord status. When a user is in a match, their status will reflect the game they’re playing, making it easier for friends to see what they’re up to and join in.

Additionally, the integration allows users to invite their Discord friends directly into a League or VAL lobby without leaving the Discord app. This seamless cross-platform functionality aims to reduce friction in coordinating play sessions, especially for creators and regular players who rely on quick, reliable communication.

For content creators, the update simplifies audience engagement and collaborative gameplay. By syncing social circles and making game activity visible, creators can more easily identify when to stream, collaborate, or invite viewers to join their games. The feature supports organic community growth by lowering barriers to multiplayer interaction.

While no exact release date was provided, Discord confirmed the feature is “starting soon.” The move reflects both companies’ ongoing efforts to unify gaming and social experiences, particularly as creators seek tools that blend communication, gameplay, and audience interaction in real time. Further details are expected as the rollout progresses.
