A creative modder has found a way to bring Spider-Man into the world of Batman: Arkham Knight through a new PC modification dubbed ArkWeb. According to reports from Dexerto, the mod allows players to experience web-swinging mechanics inspired by Spider-Man while navigating the dark streets of Gotham City, all within the framework of Rocksteady’s 2015 action-adventure title.

The ArkWeb mod does not alter the core game files of Batman: Arkham Knight but instead runs both games simultaneously, using technical workarounds to inject Spider-Man’s movement and traversal abilities into the Arkham Knight environment. This approach enables players to swing from buildings, perform web-based maneuvers, and explore Gotham with a Spider-Man-like feel, without replacing Batman as the playable character in the original narrative.

While the mod does not change the game’s story or combat systems, it offers a unique novelty experience for fans of both franchises. By combining the fluid traversal of Spider-Man games with the gritty atmosphere of Arkham Knight, ArkWeb highlights the creativity of the PC modding community in blending intellectual properties through non-invasive technical methods.

The mod reflects a growing trend among content creators and modders who use existing game engines to craft crossover experiences, often sharing them via platforms like YouTube and Twitch. These projects can drive engagement for both older titles and modding tools, extending the lifespan of games through community-driven innovation.

As of October 3, 2026, ArkWeb has gained attention in gaming circles for its ambitious yet respectful take on fan-made crossovers, demonstrating how modding can serve as both a creative outlet and a form of interactive homage to beloved characters and franchises.
