YouTube Studio Renames Analytics to Insights, Adds AI Insight Cards

YouTube is renaming the Analytics tab in YouTube Studio to Insights, reorganizing the section so related metrics and charts sit together instead of spread across separate pages. The main overview gets a simplified date range selector, while full custom ranges and real-time data move into a new Advanced Mode. A back button now returns creators to the Insights overview from any detailed view.

The headline addition is four AI-generated insight cards available to creators with access to Ask Studio, the conversational assistant that launched in the United States in English on October 27, 2025. Channel Summary writes an overview of whole-channel performance over the selected period. Content Patterns highlights what recent uploads have in common, from topic to format to length. Audience Loyalty breaks down how much viewing comes from returning versus new viewers. Video Summary generates a per-video recap of what worked and what did not. The cards surface automatically the kind of analysis that previously required prompting the assistant.

The old Trends tab is being renamed and rebuilt as Research. It surfaces videos from other channels alongside subscriber counts, view counts, video age and an outlier multiplier that scores how a video performed against its channel’s typical output in the first seven days. Filters sort by view count, outlier score, video age or a watched-by-my-viewers option that highlights audience overlap.

One feature is leaving: YouTube is retiring Saved Keywords on desktop, with a three-month window from the July announcement to export lists as CSV. The feature remains in the Studio mobile app for now. The practical moves are to export saved keyword lists before the desktop version disappears, spend a session in the new Research tab scoring competitor outliers, and let the AI cards do the first pass of the weekly analytics review before digging into Advanced Mode.
