DJ-Optical has introduced a new ultra-slim manual-focus pancake lens designed for M-mount mirrorless cameras. The lens features a compact, low-profile build ideal for street, travel, and everyday shooting where discretion and portability matter. Its sleek aesthetic stands out among current offerings in the niche pancake lens market.

Available exclusively through eBay listings, the lens caters to creators who prefer sourcing specialty optics via trusted third-party platforms. As a manual-focus-only design, it appeals to experienced shooters comfortable with zone focusing or using focus peaking aids on modern cameras. The absence of electronic contacts means full compatibility relies on mechanical coupling and aperture control via the lens barrel.

While specific focal length and aperture details were not disclosed in the announcement, the emphasis on slimness suggests a design prioritizing minimal thickness without sacrificing optical usability. This aligns with growing creator demand for lightweight, unobtrusive gear that doesn’t compromise on shooting agility.

The release reflects a broader trend of independent optical manufacturers entering the mirrorless accessory space with specialized, designer-leaning products. For content creators building minimalist kits or seeking unique visual characteristics, such lenses offer a way to differentiate their style while maintaining mobility.

Creator Newsdesk will continue monitoring user feedback and real-world performance reports as early adopters begin testing the lens in practical shooting scenarios. Updates will be shared as more information becomes available from community sources and hands-on evaluations.
