SmallRig has unveiled its Intelligent Multi-Battery Management V-Mount Battery Plate, according to a Newsshooter report dated July 3, 2026. The accessory is designed for creators who rely on V-Mount power systems to run cameras, lights, monitors and other gear on set.
The plate is available in three distinct configurations. The Basic Edition is priced at $110.49 USD, the version that includes a 15mm Dual Rod Clamp costs $127.49 USD, and the model featuring an Arca-Swiss Quick Release Plate is listed at $169.99 USD. Each option provides the same core functionality while catering to different mounting preferences.
A key feature of the plate is its four D-Tap inputs. These ports allow users to simultaneously power multiple accessories such as LED lights, wireless transmitters, or external monitors directly from the V-Mount battery source. The plate maintains the standard V-Mount interface, ensuring compatibility with existing battery plates and rigs.
For content creators, reliable power management translates into fewer interruptions during shoots. By consolidating power distribution through a single plate, operators can reduce cable clutter and simplify battery swaps, which is especially valuable on long‑form productions or multi‑camera setups. The availability of multiple mounting options means the plate can be adapted to a variety of rigs, from handheld gimbal systems to studio‑style tripod configurations.
SmallRig’s latest offering addresses a common pain point in creator workflows: the need for flexible, expandable power solutions without sacrificing ease of use. The product is now available through the usual retail channels, giving videographers and photographers an additional tool to keep their gear running smoothly throughout the day.
