A new Hong Kong startup, TriLife, has launched its AulGo pocket camera on Kickstarter, aiming to deliver compact 4K video capture in a lightweight form factor. The device features a Sony IMX486 sensor, known for its use in various imaging applications, paired with 6-axis electronic image stabilization (EIS) to help reduce shake during handheld shooting.

Weighing just 56 grams, the AulGo is designed for portability, targeting creators who prioritize mobility without sacrificing core imaging capabilities. The camera offers five recording modes, though specific details about frame rates or resolutions beyond 4K were not disclosed in the initial campaign materials.

The use of a Sony sensor highlights a trend among accessory and compact camera makers to leverage proven imaging technology from established manufacturers. Sony’s sensor technology is frequently cited for its performance in low-light conditions and dynamic range, attributes that could benefit mobile content creators.

By launching on Kickstarter, TriLife is seeking community support to bring the AulGo to market, positioning it as a more affordable alternative to existing pocket-sized gimbals like the DJI Osmo Pocket. The campaign has already gained traction, reflecting interest in compact, creator-focused tools.

As of the campaign’s launch date on July 8, 2026, the AulGo remains in the funding phase, with final specifications and pricing contingent on reaching production goals. Creator Newsdesk will continue to monitor developments as the project progresses toward potential release.
