Voice AI company ElevenLabs has raised $500 million in a Series D funding round led by Sequoia Capital, valuing the company at $11 billion — more than triple its $3.3 billion valuation from January 2025, according to coverage from Pulse2, Tech Startups and SimpleNews.ai.
The round brought ElevenLabs’ total funding to $781 million across five rounds since its 2022 founding. Andreessen Horowitz quadrupled its stake and ICONIQ tripled down, while new investors included Lightspeed Venture Partners, Evantic Capital and BOND. Sequoia partner Andrew Reed joined the company’s board as part of the deal.
The company said it closed 2025 with more than $330 million in annual recurring revenue, and by May 2026 it reported crossing $500 million in ARR after adding BlackRock, NVIDIA, Salesforce and Deutsche Telekom as investors. CEO Mati Staniszewski has said the company aims to double revenue again in 2026, with cofounder Piotr Dabkowski pointing to foundational models across text-to-speech, transcription, music, dubbing and conversational audio.
For creators, the raise matters because ElevenLabs sits at the center of how creators produce audio at scale. Its voice cloning, dubbing and conversational tools are used by YouTubers, podcasters and publishers — clients include The New Yorker, The Washington Post and The Atlantic — and the fresh capital is earmarked for international expansion across New York, London, Warsaw and Tokyo.
The takeaway for creators: AI voice tooling is becoming core infrastructure rather than a novelty, and the companies building it are being valued like platform players. If you localize content, narrate videos or run a podcast, it is worth learning what professional-grade voice AI can and cannot do for your workflow now, before it becomes table stakes.
