Dropout’s Make Some Noise returned for its fifth season on October 5, 2026, with the trailer and cast list announced in mid-September. The show, a spinoff of the improv game show Game Changer, features comedians and improvisers competing in short-form improv challenges, hosted by Dropout CEO Sam Reich.
The season 5 cast mixes Dropout regulars with outside comedy names: Ben Schwartz, Lisa Gilroy, Jeremy Culhane, Vic Michaelis, Paul F. Tompkins, Brennan Lee Mulligan, Jacob Wysocki, Ally Beardsley, Zac Oyama, Josh Ruben, Anna Garcia, Lou Wilson, Siobhan Thompson, Demi Adejuyigbe, Kurt Maloney, Kimia Behpoornia and Grant O’Brien. The casting reflects Dropout’s current position: a subscription comedy service with enough gravity to pull Saturday Night Live alumni and sitcom stars into its improv formats.
The premiere is part of a packed originals calendar. Very Important People, Vic Michaelis’s faux-interview show, launches its 16-episode second season on November 7 with guests including John Early, Kate Berlant, Danielle Pinnock, Chris Redd, Bobby Moynihan and Nicole Byer. Dropout also announced Toonout, its first dedicated animation project, releasing a new cartoon short every other Tuesday from March 24, 2026 through February 23, 2027, with creators from Big City Greens, Amphibia and Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
For creators, Dropout is the working proof that a subscription indie can thrive on format IP. Game Changer has now spawned four spinoffs, and each new show feeds the others’ audiences. The takeaway is format thinking: a repeatable show structure with cast rotation scales further than one-off videos, and owning the format outright is what makes spinoffs, licensing and longevity possible.
