For the first time since its 2017 launch, YouTube TV offered more than one price point in 2026, splitting the service into genre bundles $11 to $28 below the $82.99 base plan. The Sports plan costs $64.99 per month, or $54.99 for new subscribers for the first year; Sports plus News costs $71.99, or $56.99 for new subscribers for three months; and the Entertainment plan costs $54.99, or $44.99 for new subscribers for three months. Existing subscribers can downgrade.

The annual math is straightforward. The base plan runs $995.88 per year. Sports plus News costs $863.88, saving $132. Sports costs $779.88, saving $216. Entertainment costs $659.88, saving $336. All bundles keep unlimited DVR with nine-month retention and three simultaneous streams.

The catch is what the bundles drop. Every skinny tier omits some channels the base plan carries, so the savings only make sense for households that genuinely do not watch what was cut. The Sports plan’s promotional rate also steps up after 12 months, from $54.99 to $64.99, which changes the second-year math. And a 10-day trial is available for testing the lineups before committing.

The creator angle is the audience YouTube is segmenting. By pricing sports viewers separately, YouTube is identifying and cultivating its most valuable TV demographic, the same viewers who drive live sports commentary, watch-party and analysis content on the main platform. Creators in the sports lane should read the bundle strategy as a signal about where YouTube sees growth, and consider how their content reaches viewers who now arrive through a sports-first door.
